Sitting just a stone’s throw from Porto’s famous Rua de Santa Catarina, this practical apartment places you in a privileged spot from which to explore the city’s sights. The Chapel of Souls is just a few minutes away, and excellent local transport links mean cultural and historic hotspots are at your fingertips here. The decor inside the home is a little dark and not the most inspiring, and at full capacity, two guests will need to share the sofa bed in the living area. But a sunny communal roof terrace is a nice touch – perfect for enjoying a glass of wine after a day packed with sightseeing.

You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home on the first floor. *At capacity, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area. *The building's entrance and rooftop terrace are shared with the other residents. *You won't find a dedicated desk here. However, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace. *Given the home's central location, you may hear some street noise. Light sleepers may wish to pack earplugs. *The dark decor won't be to everyone's taste. It's a little generic too. Those looking for a more characterful stay may wish to look elsewhere. *We recommend skipping the car and exploring Porto on foot or by public transport instead.
