History buffs will adore this characterful apartment. It's situated in a 17th-century palazzo once owned by Medici bankers, putting Piazza Santa Croce on your doorstep. The facade is covered in frescoes, while the interior bursts with old-world charm. We can't get enough of the views – pour yourself a glass of wine, pull up a chair, and people-watch out of the original windows until your heart's content. The building also has a shared gym, though we reckon most of your exercise will come from exploring Florence on foot. All the major landmarks are within walking distance, as are shops and eateries.
