There are a number of cycling and walking opportunities, local maps are provided (Dunster is 2 miles across the fields and Minehead is 3 miles along the coast). For trips further a-field, the edge of Exmoor National Park is only a mile away, the towns of Minehead and Watchet (ancient sea port) are about 4 miles, Tropiquaria Animal and Adventure Park is 4 miles and for a main shopping centre, Taunton is 20 miles. And if you prefer something more restful then you can enjoy sitting on the patio or in the lounge and watch the steam trains go by or the sun go down over the sea or hills (depending on the season) at the end of the day.
