Lavender Row Holiday Cottage is a charming 1871-built property located in the historic village of Stedham, West Sussex. Nestled in the picturesque South Downs National Park, the cottage accommodates up to 5 guests and boasts wonderful walks right from its doorstep. Stedham is a scenic countryside village with a village green and a local pub, and the charming town of Midhurst with local shops is just a five-minute drive away. Lavender Row is conveniently situated close to various attractions, such as Goodwood, Petworth, and Cowdray polo and golf course.
The cottage features a bright and spacious design, with a kitchen and open-plan dining area downstairs, along with a separate living room that features a cozy log fire. Upstairs, the master bedroom with a king-sized bed offers a stunning view of the National Park, and there are two additional bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a single bed. The bathroom consists of a toilet, a bath, and a shower over the bath.
Lavender Row also offers an enclosed private garden at the rear of the cottage, along with a parking space in front of the property.
Location The village of Stedham has an old historic center, with a small village green with surrounding charming cottages. There is a beautiful large grassy space at the edge of the village and adjacent to the cottage. Once used as polo pitches, a footpath crosses this peaceful spot overlooking the South Downs. Stedham common has larger regions to roam over open heathland over the A272. Five minutes drive away is Midhurst, an ancient Town with central portions of Tudor origin. The town has a number of cafes and small restaurants as well as a mini supermarket and garage, Cowdray park, castle ruins and golf course.
