Honeycott is a beautifully converted semi-detached holiday cottage situated on a working farm of 280 acres in the heart of Exmoor. The property is at the heart of this picturesque farm, home to the ruins of the lost village of Clicket, and endowed with breathtaking views towards the coast, across the hills and valleys. This fantastic location makes it an ideal base for walkers, cyclists, and anyone looking to explore Exmoor’s heather-clad moorlands, deep wooded valleys, the highest sea cliffs in England, or coming in search of the rich range of local wildlife attractions such as red deer, Exmoor ponies, and buzzards.

2 first floor bedrooms (one king-sized double and one twin, both with spectacular views over gardens and across the towards coast)
Ground floor open-plan living area with dining table, television/DVD player, and kitchen at far end, well equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, and washing machine, plus toaster, kettle, cookware, variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, and glasses
First floor family bathroom comprising bath with shower attachment over, toilet, and hand basin
Further ground floor toilet with hand basin
Wi-fi, adjustable biomass system-fuelled central heating, and electricity included in cost

Facilities
The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, under-the-counter fridge (with freezer compartment), microwave and washing machine. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, cookware, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
A television (with Freeview) and DVD player is provided in the living room and wireless broadband is available throughout the property.
A hair dryer is provided for your convenience and an iron with ironing board.

A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request, please let us know at time of booking if you require them. (Bed linen is not provided for the cot).

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation and are provided from a biomass boiler and solar panels, making our green footprint very good. Heating can be adjusted to suit your preferences and used as much as you like.

Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels if you require them for day trips. Please note, bed linen will not be provided for the cot.

Tea, coffee and sugar will be provided. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and oil available.
Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and dishwasher powder will be present in the property, and one to two toilet rolls will be provided.

Location
Honeycott is situated in the heart of the Exmoor National Park and has breathtaking views towards the coast, across the hills and valleys. This area is very popular with walkers and lovers of nature - anyone just wanting to get away from it all! The cottage is in great central location on Exmoor making it an ideal base, whether you are seeking out the heather-clad moorlands, deep wooded valleys, the highest sea cliffs in England, or looking for the wildlife - Red Deer, Exmoor Ponies, Buzzards to name a few. It is a wonderful place to explore by car or on foot anytime of year.

Snowdrop Valley on the outskirts of Wheddon Cross is very popular in February, when people come to see the ‘carpet of snowdrops’. There is a park and ride scheme running from Wheddon Cross car park, which is 3 miles.

Within an hours drive there are many attractions to keep you entertained, including Wimbleball Reservoir - just 15 minutes by car - for sailing, boating and fishing.

Wheddon Cross (approx 3 miles) has a well-stocked mini-supermarket, Post Office facilities and petrol station with good opening times. The Rest & Be Thankful Inn is the village pub which serves food and is child and dog friendly. Luxborough is also approx 3 miles and has a village pub, The Royal Oak in Luxborough. There is also a wonderful choice of restaurants, pubs, tea rooms and other shops in the medieval Village of Dunster, approx 5 miles.

Minehead is the main town in West Somerset and is approx 7 miles away. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison’s are both on the outskirts of the town), several of the high street banks, plus a range of other shops.
