If ever there was a home to drop you into the heart of nature, this is it – if you’re lucky, you may even see some wild deer and boar skirting around the edge of the garden. With tranquillity running through its core and fuss-free interiors, this is somewhere to switch off and relax. There’s not even a TV to distract you. Soak up the views and Tuscan sun on the terrace, cool off in the private pool, or take a hike (quite literally) from your doorstep to revel in the beauty of the local area.
Home truths: *We recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. Access is via an unpaved, uneven road which is steep in places – a high-clearance vehicle is recommended.
*Your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*The swimming pool, open from June to September (weather permitting), isn't fenced. If you're bringing children, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*All bedrooms can be set up as doubles or twins on request.
*The first floor is reached via an external staircase.
*There's no central heating here, however, logs are provided for the wood burner. There's also no air conditioning here, but there are ceiling fans.
*You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob.
