Set within an old Victorian school, this home is undeniably “old school” with its vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and climbing plants. While the other rooms aren’t quite as exciting as the living space, we are willing to look past this when considering the views of Canary Wharf. Especially at night, this is a sparkly cityscape you won’t get enough of. While the location is not your typical tourist destination and most will probably find it a little isolated, the streets have period character and the pubs are historic.

*This location is further out, so if you’re looking to be in the thick of it, this is not the home for you
*The bathrooms are not the most modern
*This is a lived-in home, so you can expect to come across your host's belongings
*This home is best suited for a family with children as two of the bedrooms only have very basic mattresses, one of which is also in a bunk bed
*There’s really no space for guests to unpack their bags
*Two guests would sleep on a sofa bed in the living room
