Once home to the Viceroy of Sardinia, this beautiful 16th-century manor home has maintained its regal elegance. Explore the stately charm by walking barefoot through its hallways after waking up to a tranquil bedroom, and nurse a cup of coffee at the dining table where the rest of the group can come to find you. Cobble breakfast together or venture out early to find a taste of Italy first thing in the morning.

At home, you can imagine yourself in an Italian love story as you walk the expansive estate with a thermos and a romance novel under your arm. Spend lazy mornings in and around the private swimming pool, smell the roses – and jasmine – as you enjoy meals al fresco under the pergola, and take advantage of the outdoor wood oven whenever you’d like to switch up your cooking methods.

From this home, you’ll be able to spy the old bell tower of the parish church of Sant'Eusebio – get a closer look or take a road trip to Turin or Milan. Visit every one of the small towns surrounding you, taking in the scenic views of Monferrato, a declared Unesco World Heritage Site, along the way.

*The swimming pool – available for us between the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October – isn't fenced, so children will need to be supervised at all times
*Though there's a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom here for those with reduced mobility, there are stairs down to the swimming pool
