Ballyvara House! What a marvelous site for a family vacation! Thirty members of our family celebrated our 59th wedding anniversary there. The rooms had all the amenities of a 5 five star hotel! The state of the art kitchen is very user friendly. The grounds are beautiful and breathtaking. Our grand kids ( from ages 13 to 33) enjoyed the soccer, the tennis, the game room - even the chess board in the lobby was never empty. The path through the fields made for a delightful and safe walk into town. We visited The Aran Islands, Dingle, Mayo (family homestead) , Galway and The Cliffs of Moher. The men enjoyed playing golf at Lahinch. A few brave souls surfed in body suits off the Lahinch beach. The Irish music at the pubs in downtown Doolin was enjoyed by all. Even the shops in Doolin were great for those of us who enjoy shopping as a sport. The dining room was most conducive not only for eating, but for telling stories and building family unity. Becky was a competent, thoughtful and pleasant host! "In short , there is simply not, a more congenial spot than here in.....Ballyvara"!

Ballyvara house is the perfect venue for all occasions and getaway trips for large groups, families or friends. It is a gem in the beautiful surroundings of Doolin. The rooms are spacious and above all beautifully decorated with two gorgeous suites to surprise or treat your loved ones. The large dining rooms and kitchen provided the perfect setting for our meals and parties and the hidden bar was the highlight for the night! Becky could not do enough for us before and during our stay and provided us with helpful advice and contact numbers for caterers, transport etc Ballyvara house has to be seen to be believed!

Becky was the perfect host in every way and a dream to deal with from the word go. We were a group of 24 hens and the house was perfect with a fine kitchen, extremely comfortable bedrooms and a great reception area with it's own saloon. Doolin is a dream location with plenty of options for eating and outdoor activities. We had wonderful take-out food on our first night from McGanns and dined in McDermotts on the second evening. All in all a superb experience to be repeated.
