Ceannabhan Cottage: Galway

Overlooking the Atlantic ocean, Ceannabhán Cottage is surrounded by five acres of landscaped gardens and wild Connemara countryside. Eastwards and rear offers breath taking views of the ‘Twelve Bens’ mountains.

This newly refurbished family is in a privileged setting looking out to Mannin Bay.

Situated in the town land of Derrigimlagh, on the main Clifden to Ballyconnelly Road, the property is finished to the highest standard, complete with all modern conveniences.

The property has double glazed windows and is oak floored; it is centrally heated with oil-fired radiators and under floor heating in the tiled kitchen area.

These features make it a wonderful cosy winter haven, and in summer, double doors opening onto the entrance patio make it a unique location.

This architecturally restored cottage captures light from very carefully designed window feature, enhancing the space and comfort all year round.

“Clean & Comfortable – A home away from home” We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The bedrooms were spacious and clean. Bathrooms were also very clean. We (a family of five) stayed at this house for a week in June 2012. We have stayed in many holiday houses throughout Ireland and this rated as one of our favourites.

This cottage is just lovely - warm, welcoming, charming outside and in; well equipped; easy to cook in, with plentiful bedrooms and bathrooms and a wonderful reading nook upstairs on the mezzanine with shelves loaded with books for every taste. It is light and airy and tastefully furnished, with heating that switches on easily and works very well (yes, we used the heating in August - but that's Ireland for you, and a house with decent heating was high on our wish list accordingly!)
