Pierce Brosnan, his mother, and his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, have enjoyed their time here quietly this Spring and fell in love with the area. Known to have a keen eye for property and regularly spotted at their seafront mansion in Malibu, they were charmed by the Mullaghderg banks, taking frequent strolls away from the paparazzi.

It's no surprise that this area, made famous by Daniel O'Donnell, Clannad, and Enya, has been attracting celebrities, as its beauty is still very undiscovered. Actor Gabriel Byrne and Helena Bonham Carter have also stayed in a nearby house while filming 'Four Letters of Love', and in true Donegal style, their visits were kept discreet and only mentioned long after they had left.

Donegal Airport is voted the most scenic in the world, and its location is a big plus. With two daily flights from Dublin and seasonal flights from Glasgow, it offers easy access for golfers, with over ten golf courses within an hour.

One of Paul McGinley's favourite courses, Cruit Island, is only 20 minutes from Sandbanks. The blue-flag beach of Carrickfinn, with white sands and majestic dunes, is only a short drive away, and the area is also known for some of Europe's best sea and game angling.
