Steve Drake - Chef Proprietor is passionate about cooking. His unique skill of flavour combining takes him where other chefs haven't ventured and enables him to create innovative contemporary British food.
Drake's opened in 2004 and within just months Steve had won a Michelin star, three AA Rosettes and has recently been awarded wine list of the year 2013 by The Good Food Guide.
The restaurant itself is a delightful little (40 seats) Georgian style setting. Inside is simple yet stylish, homely but exacting, full of natural light and with local gallery art adorning the walls.
Both the chef proprietor Steve Drake and his staff hold impressive credentials, a treasured find for an out-of-London restaurant. Steve's resume includes being a former Roux Scholar and workings with leading chefs such as Nico Ladenis and Marco Pierre White.
