Complete world of luxury. From the moment we booked to the moment we left we couldnt fault one thing about our stay. The staff are beyond amazing and the standard of cleanliness and relaxation will 100% not disappoint. I am 37 weeks pregnant and couldnt have wished for a better break away. The comfort in the rooms, the food, the spa, everything is just so well organised theres nothing the incredible staff wont do to accomodate you. Its so chilled out theres no sense of being rushed or pressure on you at any time. The robes and slippers provided are amazing and so soft as are all towels etc provided. The gorgeous smell throughout the whole hotel/spa really stands out aswell.
The food in the bar for lunch, dinner and the breakfast is grade A you couldnt go wrong in anything you pick off the menu. The pregnancy massage was amazing aswell and my boyfriend got a massage aswell and the girls are so professional they make you feel instantly at ease.
Its a complete stress free zone and we're already looking up our next stay

Booked in for 2 nights in June on the 2 b&b, 1 dinner and 1 treatment package. We arrived to the buzzer at the gate and were swiftly allowed access, met by one of the concierges at the door, bags and car keys taken and that was us in a cocoon of bliss until we saw the car again at departure.
We had our included treatment shortly after arrival, the therapists were great at their jobs and we instantly fell into a state of relaxation. We opted for our included meal in the restaurant on our first night. Food was fabulous and we had a really friendly waiter. He added to the whole experience.. ( Dermot may have been his name.. not sure). Wines are reasonably priced and we enjoyed a superb bottle with dinner. We then retired to the garden lounge to polish off the wine before bed.
Next day we had a super lazy breakfast. Superb choice and the coffee was one of the best I have ever had. Excellent choices for breakfast and can select as mush as you like, with plentiful refills of juice available. Just ask.
On to the thermal suite to enjoy the experience then, followed by a delicious cocktail outside in the June sunshine, before we he head back to the spa for our one hour treatments. Again these were fabulous and so relaxing. Some relaxation in the dark lounge and the light lounge before we head to the garden lounge get for dinner this evening. Looked at the desserts and nothing took our fancy so we opted for starters and mains with another delicious bottle of wine. Only mistake was, the starters are huge, almost main course size. Next time we will share a starter.

The bedrooms a large and luxurious. Lovely towels and toiletries. A fridge would really add to the offering. We had some strawberries and chocolate with us and the rooms were quite warm. There is no problem getting an ice bucket and glasses delivered if you want to enjoy a drink in your room.

We have booked again… 3 nights next time.

"Amazing experience"
I stayed with my Mum and sisters And had an amazing experience. We stayed for two nights which I would recommend to really experience the tranquil atmosphere and retreat like feeling. We had a meal in the restaurant the first night which was amazing and afternoon tea the second day. The breakfast was wonderful with such a great variety. The staff were all amazing and are there to make your stay as relaxing as they can. I can’t wait to return

Fabulous experience
Just returned from 2 night stay at the Monart with my sister. This is my 2nd time to the Monart and it was just as fabulous as the first time. The staff are consistently pleasant and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms, the bar, the dining area, the spa everywhere is spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The grounds are so beautiful to take a walk in and provide for great photo opportunities. The food is so tasty and fresh and the afternoon tea was sooooooo delicious. I had a hot stone massage and my therapist Sinead was brilliant and clearly very experienced, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the little snooze afterwards in the relaxation room. My sister had the tension relief back wrap and loved it. We did not bother with the fine dining and ate in the bar, food was delicious and we were looked after by Annette who was so pleasant and helpful. Also the rosy lee served in a little teapot and teacup was super. We stayed in our robes for the entire time and enjoyed every second! I will be back for sure for a 3rd time and hopefully many many more! Oh and we finished off our stay with a little session with one of the monks (resident until December I think), nice experience! Thank you to all at the Monart for making our stay so special...

Fantastic Birthday Celebrations
From the moment we drove through the gates of Monart our Spa Retreat break started. This was a weekend of a lifetime. I have never been in such a fantastic place. We were greeted at the front door, our car was unpacked for us and then parked for us. Our cases were taken to our rooms. We were checked in and then shown to our rooms. Our first food experience was a fantastic afternoon tea served in the beautiful old house. This was excellent and the choices of our group including a vegetarian and a vegan were excellent. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom beautiful with a fantastic shower. There was a plentiful supply of soft white towels. Everything thing was spotless. The spa was the best I have ever seen. A fantastic variety of rooms together with an outdoor Sauna. There was also a very plentiful supply of soft towels. The treatments were lovely and between our group we had six different treatments which were all judged to be top quality. Dinner in the main dining room was excellent, an amazing choice and the service was also very attentive without interrupting our party. Monart is without doubt the most amazing spa I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Every member of staff was professional, courteous and very friendly. They are the backbone on which this fantastic spa is built. I really hope to return in the very near future.

Return Visit
Back this yr for 2 night stay following lovely experience last year. You know when you go back somewhere thinking it can't be as good again? Well the Monart is definitely as enjoyable and special the second time around! Just like it all, from greeting at reception, bedroom, food and the spa, it's such a treat and from someone who loves the chance to relax it ticks all the boxes! Many thanks.

Total luxury & complete relaxation
I had heard many wonderful things about Monart from friends & colleagues over the years so decided to take a trip to celebrate my 40th birthday.

I went with 2 friends and we all agreed that it was the most relaxed few days we've ever experienced. We booked a two night B&B, 1 evening meal package for €249 each. We arrived on Monday at 2:30pm and were able to check in straight away. The receptionist was so welcoming as was the concierge. Details of treatments/reservations were in our welcome pack, a separate sheet for each of us which was very handy.

We had afternoon tea booked at 3pm in the old house and I had called ahead to advise that one of the group was coeliac. They assured me this wouldn't be an issue. A gluten free afternoon tea was available for him which was just as nice as the 2 regular afternoon teas.

We headed back to our room and changed into our robe and slippers to head down to the thermal spa. We spent a couple of hours down there moving between sauna, steam room, hydro therapy pool etc.

We then headed back to our rooms to change for dinner in the Garden Lounge at 7. The weather was nice enough for us to sit out initially and after we finished our food we were asked by the staff of we would like to move inside as it had gotten a bit cooler. This attentiveness was much appreciated. We stayed there for the evening and had a few drinks and found the atmosphere very pleasant.

Breakfast both mornings was fab, with lots of choice and again plenty of gluten free options. Two of us had Lumafirm Body Massages which lasted 80 minutes and were amazing. The products felt so luxurious and we were left in a complete state of Zen afterwards. We moved to the dark room where we were able to lie on beds with warm blankets and prolong the feeling of relaxation. Marita was my therapist and couldn't have been nicer or more professional.

One of the party had a Swedish massage which they enjoyed too. We grabbed lunch in the Spa cafe which was tasty and quite filling. Then we had a Stem Cells 1 hour facial booked in the afternoon which again was complete luxury. I headed back to our room after that and loved being able to lay on the couch, reading my book with the balcony door open looking into the trees with the sound of birds chirping.

We had dinner in the restaurant at 8. A five course meal with impeccable service from the staff, along with some birthday treats for me which was a nice touch. We had one drink in the bar before going back to the room to chill.

Check out is 12pm but you can use the Spa until 2 on the day of checkout, something we took full advantage of. It was quite strange to check out while still in your robe and slippers. Plastic bags are provided to keep a change of clothes in, which can be kept in lockers in the Spa changing rooms.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay and are already planning a return visit in 2020.

One small thing would relate to space for storing personal items in the thermal spa itself. People were bringing books with them and leaving them outside while in the sauna or steam room and had to leave them on the floor. Maybe some low shelving for items like that would be useful. Also we just felt there weren't enough hooks for people to hang their robes while moving from room to room. Again these are 2 really small observations which just might make the experience even better. One recommendation is that you make sure you have at least one personal item in your robe pocket to help you identify your own robe and slippers when you go back for them as it can be confusing.

Again I'd recommend a stay in Monart to anyone in a heartbeat and I actually don't know why I waited till my 40th to do it. Without a doubt I will be back. Thanks again to all the staff who made our stay so memorable.
