"Amazing Venue for our Wedding, Overnight Stay & Afternoon tea"
Sorry I've been a bit delayed in writing this review! We got married 22nd July this year in the Lowry Hotels private dining room, Abigail Hindle was our event planner and even though in the scheme of things our wedding was one of the smallest the venue offers the service we received was nothing less than 5*.
Abigail helped us with her contacts for transport, flowers, room dressing, whenever I contacted her she was always happy to help and made the whole process of organising the wedding stress free. On the day everything ran smoothly, all of our guests were made to feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble for the satff at the Lowry Hotel. We were married in the Private Dining Room, had drinks in the Library section of the Bar and some photographs whilst the dining room was set up for the meal, we were not once made to feel rushed nor were we left waiting around for service everything ran like clockwork. We didn't feel like we were in the way when we had photos done in different areas of the hotel, even though the hotel was fully booked that day the staff made us feel like we were the only ones there.
Sherman who waited on our room was amazing with the kids, he made sure the drinks kept coming and if anyone asked for anything extra he went out of his way to assist.
Our food was absolutely delicious, everyone enjoyed it and it looked wonderful!
We were married at 14:30 and ate at 16:30 with only 17 guests four under 5 we didn't expect them to stay too late, however we were all made to feel so welcome and comfortable everyone settled in for the long haul :) We had exceptional cocktails, the wine and champagne kept coming, we had a couple of wonderful cheese boards, gentle music in the background, the doors open onto the veranda, it was gone midnight when we finally got to enjoy our room.
If only I had the nerve to pack up the guests and send them home sooner! The room was TO DIE FOR! we had been awarded guest of the day so were upgraded to a riverside suite, there was wine and a fruit bowl waiting for us and a little cupcake which I wont lie although we were just married it didn't get shared there was just the one and it was all for me :) The room was immaculate, and massive! we had our own little kitchen with coffee machine a walk in wardrobe, a huge living area and separate bedroom area, the view over the river and the bridge all lit up was beautiful. We arranged for breakfast in the room the following morning, we couldn't face a full english after all of the champagne the day before but could not fault the selection of pastries and fruit.
We packed up and went to check out, everything from the Dining room had been carefully boxed up for us and was ready to just transfer into the car, which we were told to park at the front and everything was loaded in to it for us. We were able to leave the car at the front of the hotel in whilst we went into manchester before we returned for afternoon tea.
We had booked a prosecco afternoon tea but we passed on the prosecco, (still a tad delicate after the day before) the selection of sandwiches and cakes were lovely, there were lots on offer and they all looked and tasted fantastic, there was too much for us to finish so they were boxed up for us and off we went with our box of cakes and wonderful memories of the perfect weekend at The Lowry Hotel.
And whats prompted me to write the review today? We've booked to come back!!! Its just reminded me how Amazing this place is and everyone needs to know, if your considering booking for a wedding, a stay, to dine or an afternoon tea then do it! You wont be disappointed!!
