Muckross Park Hotel Weddings

From start to finish both ourselves and our guests had an amazing experience for our wedding day. Orla, Niall & Dean went above and beyond to ensure we had nothing to worry about on our big day. They couldn’t have been more accommodating if they tried. We wanted for nothing all night long with deans great service throughout our dinner and during the night. Orla made planning our big day at muckross seem so stress free. Her knowledge and guidance on all things wedding were extremely impressive. Both Regina and Gary from reservations were extremely helpful regarding all of our room bookings and with any questions we had. The service throughout the whole hotel from all of the staff was second to none with our guests passing comment on the exceptional levels of service they received throughout their stays. The hotel itself was extremely clean as were the rooms which were extremely comfortable and spacious. The food in Colgan’s Bar was of great quality with great table service. We really couldn’t have picked a more amazing venue for our wedding day. We still can’t get over how much this venue made our special day even better. We already can’t wait to return with our family for our first anniversary. Thanks again to all of the amazing team at MuckRoss such lovely people!

Fantastic really helpful staff gorgeous room for a wedding

Outstanding hotel. Has everything you need on site. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we held our wedding there. The location is great, the hotel offers a great spa onsite. All the tourist attractions around Killarney are also very close by. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights after our wedding as a mini honeymoon to just have time together before going back to real life. From the second we arrived we were treated like royalty!! Everyone congratulated us and made us feel special. Every single staff member went above and beyond for us. The afternoon tea, spa treatments and dinner were exemplary. The breakfast in bed was fantastic. The massage was the best we had ever experienced.
I honestly cannot say enough great things. We felt so welcomed and it really made the entire week even more amazing which I didn’t think possible.
Everything was catered for and we had the best time of our lives. If we can swing it financially we would go back every year for our anniversary and just relive every great moment we had!

We got married at Muckross Park Hotel & Spa in May 2023. Firstly no one can deny that this hotel is absolutely stunning! Then to top it the service is superb. They made planning a wedding from Canada seamless and they go the extra mile to make sure the day is perfect for the couple both in the lead up to, and on the actual day. The food was also delicious. They are well known for hosting great weddings (based on those who have attended several there) and I experienced it first hand. Thanks for making our special day perfect!

"First-class experience"
Myself & my fiance stayed at Muckross to celebrate our recent Engagement & to view it as a prospective wedding venue. To say the staff went above & beyond would be an understatement! We were treated like royalty & made to feel so special. The whole stay, from start to finish & all of the amenities are SO impressive! This hotel and all of its staff deserves much more than 5 stars!!

"Our wedding at Muckross Park hotel"
My husband and I got married in muckross park hotel in the middle of the pandemic. The hotel was to remain closed but to accommodate 22 of us for our wedding, they made sure to reopen and accommodate us. Why muckross park hotel stands out from other 5 star hotels, is their human touch. I've never met a group of staff to be so compassionate towards us. Always accommodating and going the extra mile for us. I felt team was our friends and muckross was our home. I couldn't fault them on anything and thank you again and again for being ye!!!

"Amazing Staycation"
We recently stayed in the hotel to celebrate our belated 1st wedding anniversary. We had originally booked for June but had to postpone. We got married in the hotel last year and wanted to return to mark our anniversary. The staff were fantastic when booking and booked us in for the pool and spa area, dinner in The Yew Tree and breakfast. This ensured that there was no queuing and no crowded areas. When we arrived, we were greeted by very friendly staff that welcomed us and made us feel as special as they did the day of our wedding. We booked into pool area for 2pm for the hour before check in. Very relaxing area and got to enjoy some time in the outdoor hot tub. When we gave our name when checking in the staff immediately congratulated us on our anniversary which was a lovely personal touch. When we arrived to the room there was a lovely handwritten card from the manager with a bottle of champagne and gift for our baby daughter. The wedding coordinator Bernie took the time to call us and welcome us to the hotel and later that evening Madina our wedding planner from the hotel came to meet us before our meal. I thought this was a lovely gesture by the staff.
We had a four course meal in The Yew Tree and it was amazing. I had the pan seared scallops to start, the beef fillet for mains and the vegan dark chocolate dessert. Only thing that was disappointing was not having enough room to finish the dessert. The service was excellent in the restaurant, lovely relaxing atmosphere and tables are well spaced out to allow you privacy and adequate social distancing. Breakfast is also served in the same restaurant and has a wide selection.
Overall, it was an amazing staycation, hotel is located near most of the main attractions in Killarney with great views. We were initially anxious about staying in a hotel during the pandemic but were reassured immediately as there is someone constantly cleaning down the areas in the main reception and toilets, hand sanitizer available in all areas and clear signage displayed with regulations. It was a nice treat, near the main attractions of Killarney, with friendly staff and amazing food. Looking forward to returning.

"Honeymoon"
We stayed here for our honeymoon in September 2020 and had the most amazing time! We were very kindly upgraded to a suite which was beautiful and the staff were all so friendly and helpful.

During a very stressful year of planning a wedding during a pandemic the spa at Muckross Park Hotel was the perfect location to relax and enjoy time away!

It is conveniently located opposite Killarney National Park which was great for morning walks after breakfast and great if you fancy a jaunting car tour to Torc waterfall, Muckross abbey and Muckross house & Gardens.

The food was delicious and would highly recommend to anyone planning a staycation or honeymoon in Killarney!

"Wedding Venue"
We got married in Muckross Park Hotel in September 2020 and had the most wonderful celebration there despite the covid restrictions we had to accommodate.

When choosing a wedding venue we visited a number of hotels in Killarney but as soon as we entered the Atrium and Valentia Suite at the Muckross Park Hotel we were blown away.

The rooms and setting have a real wow factor to them. We meet with Bernie our wedding co ordinator who talked us through all the wedding packages and options they had to offer. She was able to recommend other vendors including Tie the Knot for flowers and Joanne Henderson for hair, both of whom were fantastic on the day.

Our initial wedding date was cancelled due to lockdown in April but thankfully another date for September 2020 was organised. We negotiated the changing Covid restrictions with Bernie and altered our wedding plans accordingly.

The day went off without a hitch. The sunny weather allowed us to hold our drinks reception in the beautiful Atrium garden with the added bonus of jazz music being pipped out there too.

The Valentia Suite was set up to perfection by Madina our function manager on the day. We were all lost for words with how beautiful the room looked. Even with our guest numbers having been reduced to 45 due to Covid , Madina had arranged the room to feel full and everyone commented on how spectacular the venue looked.

The wedding meal severed was of 5 star quality and all our guests commented on how delicious the food was. The service by the staff was brilliant too, ensuring everyone had plenty of wine and water and that the steaks were cooked to the guests liking. The hotel manager Fritz was also present during meal service to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Muckross Park hotel has all the features of an amazing wedding venue! We would highly recommend the Muckross Park Hotel to anyone looking to mark their wedding day in a special way in Killarney.
