The Hardiman Weddings

We got married on the 19th September 2020 with reduced numbers and held our wedding reception in "The Hardiman" Eyre Square, Co Galway. Although not the wedding we had imagined for ourselves, we count ourselves as one of the extremely fortunate couples that could get married this year, and we are delighted we didn't postpone

Our wedding was everything we could have asked and hoped for in these difficult times. We were lucky enough to be able to celebrate or day surrounded by those we love, our Family, the people that mean the world to us, and just a few very close amazing friends, who at very short notice could be there to join us in celebrating our special day.

When it came to choosing our reception venue, the iconic building on Eyre Square was decided on even before our engagement!!! We love everything about it from its location to the gorgeous interior and fabulous function room.

The food and attention to detail for our wedding was incredible, the function room looked amazing and laid out beautifully to accommodate our reduced numbers.

The Hardiman did everything they could to make our big day special, G.M. Patrick was always there to say hello and have a friendly chat with, and even to hold my train on the day! Valarie our wedding coordinator did her upmost to help us out which we understand was not the easiest to do, with all the uncertainty from week to week with government announcements, she remained calm and took all we said on board, however big or small. She always gave us her honest opinion when we asked for advice, which we truly appreciated. Mary, we can't thank you enough for putting Sarah at ease about everything with the lead up to the wedding, you are a true asset to The Hardiman team.

The 19th September was best day of our lives, and we will be forever grateful to the wonderful staff of "The Hardiman" for everything they did for us. This hotel will always be special to us and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.

From the first time we walked into The Hardiman we knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding reception. When we had to postpone our wedding in late March due to Covid-19 we were heartbroken, but with the help of friends, family and all at The Hardiman we were able to rearrange for late summer. At what were challenging times for all at the hotel, big and small changes were accommodated with compassion and understanding. The Hardiman did everything they could to make our big day special. We had the best day of our lives with so many unexpected moments. This was in large part down to the helpfulness of the staff at the Hardiman. They could not have done any more for us. The food throughout the day was incredible and the service could not have been any better. The hotel was presented beautifully, at its most elegant best. The Hardiman truly gave us a day to remember!

The Hardiman was the dream location for a wedding. From start to finish the level of professionalism shown by the staff was outstanding Special thank you to Valerie, the wedding planner, who made the whole planning experience stress free and enjoyable! From the day we booked the venue we were treated so well with exceptional food and exceptional service. The selling point for us was the hotel Ballroom. We know it’s a bit of a cliché but we really did have the best day of our lives!! Everyone, as expected, had only great things to say about the staff, food, rooms and the location. We couldn’t recommend the hotel enough!

Sorry for the delay in replying, I am afraid I rarely check this email account lately and I missed your email. We had such a wonderful time in the Hardiman for our wedding, the staff were amazing so welcoming to all our guests who sung their praises and really loved the hotel. We have not put any wedding pictures on our own social media ourselves yet, as we wanted to keep them images from the day more private - however, if we decide to change this, I'd be very happy to share and will come back to you then if that's ok?

Perhaps the highest praise for the hotel is that we are coming back for a few days this week from tomorrow, as we both could not think of anywhere else we'd rather spend our staycation in these strange times we find ourselves now in. Hopefully if you are around the hotel we may see you this week as it would be lovely to thank you in person!
