Fota Island Resort Weddings

We stayed for a December wedding and loved every minute of our stay! The staff are so attentive and lovely. We will definitely be back

We had our wedding in Fota Island Resort in September and to say it was faultless was an understatement. Everything ran so smoothly from the time of booking our wedding date to the morning after we checked out.
Fota have a selection of wedding coordinators who are always available to respond to requests and queries. Our specific wedding coordinator was Nessa. Nessa was professional and personal all at the same time. She couldn’t do enough for us and ensured everything was organised before we even thought of it. Nessa always responded to our emails in the same working day and if she was off, one of her colleagues would do so in exchange.
The wedding day itself was flawless from the moment we stepped out of the wedding car. The whole team from front of house, catering, wedding coordinators, etc were so friendly and accommodating.
A special shoutout to Jenna, banqueting and events manager at Fota. Jenna ensured everything in the ballroom and beyond ran like clockwork from the moment we arrived. Jenna even helped my mother in law sew part of my wedding dress that was torn en route to Fota. We don’t have enough words to express the hard work put in by her on the day.
The food and drink on the day was excellent and all the waiting and bar staff were a big hit with our guests.
We couldn’t recommend Fota as a wedding venue enough, you won’t regret it.

Attended a wedding reception here. I think it was the best organised wedding venue I have ever experienced. The staff were friendly and efficient and service was quick and each table dealt with quickly. Food was top class!

"Fantastic hotel- couldn't have asked for more"
What a truly brilliant hotel, a stay made perfect by the wonderful staff. We were there for 3 nights for our friends wedding, from a very late check in after travel delays the staff couldn't have looked after us more. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful (I'd recommend the waffles) and the staff were really helpful. I had 2 great spa treatments, special shout out to Deirdre who did the most wonderful and relaxing pregnancy massage. At the wedding itself the food was delicious and again all the staff were great even sending a dessert up to our friend who was unwell in bed and couldn't make the wedding-again special shout out to the Maitre'd/manager who seemed to be everywhere at once and incredibly helpful.

Excellent resort, service and food were perfect and the hotel is in a beautiful location. We visited for a friends wedding and plan to return very soon. Couldn't fault anything, room is spacious & beautiful bathroom. Highly recommend a stay

Fantastic hotel
We stayed in fota for our 10 year wedding anniversary, it was amazing!! Once we'd checked in,we made our way to our room which was unbelievable, there was delicious anniversary treats waiting for us in the room, my wife was over the moon when she saw this. It really was a nice touch and a great start to our stay. The room was very spacious with a huge bed and very modern as well as having a balcony. Having a few drinks while the sun went down was unreal. We ate in the bar and the food, staff and service was excellent, cant compliment it enough. There was a great atmosphere in the bar, very relaxing sitting in the big comfy chairs. The breakfast the following morning was savage, well worth missing out on a late sleep in for. All in we had a fantastic time and we cant wait to go back. The staff, the hotel and the food really made it a 5 star experience.

"Anniversary"
We had our wedding in Fota Clubhouse and went back this weekend for our first anniversary. It was fantastic. We ate dinner in the main dining room and the food was delicious. From start to finish, the staff were great and we were well looked after. Our room was lovely. Check in was a breeze, as was check out the following morning after a filling breakfast, once again with very attentive staff.
