"Elegance and Adventure"
My elderly Mom and Aunt had never traveled out of the country before we headed to Ireland for my nephew's wedding. As a surprise, I booked us into the Ashford Castle for our first three nights. We had a wonderful stay, beautiful rooms, grounds and excellent service and food. I was also able to cross of something on my bucket list be spending an afternoon at their Falconer School - highly recommended! Staying here was a once in a life time experience and totally worth it. My family is still talking about it - so it is more than a place to stay, it is a place to create memories. If you are not sure about driving in Ireland, I believe they can refer you to a driver service. We used one for our whole trip and was very pleased.
Please note that we traveled in August 2013, but the reason I am posting this is because if you are traveling with elderly people, (they were both in their mid-eighties!) this was just a fantastic place to stay.
