"Wedding venue" This is one of the most incredible and memorable places I have been. I was fortunate to be invited to attend a wedding here but will certainly return with my children later in life. There’s something for everyone- the food is divine, the service outstanding. I even asked the bride and groom if they hired temporary staff themselves and they said no, this was all part of the ashford castle service. I can not recommend this venue enough... go!

"Perfect setting" I had the pleasure of returning to Ashford castle but this time it was for a family wedding. With relations joining us from America, it gave me pride to show off such a beautiful piece of Ireland. Wonderful attentive staff and customer care sets this majestic castle apart from others. It's what will ensure that we will all return. Thank you Ashford castle and staff for a truly memorable and special weekend. The picturesque village of Cong is a must to wander over to for a pint of the black stuff. It's not hard to imagine John Wayne strutting his stuff on the set of 'The Quiet Man' which was filmed here.

"Elegance and Adventure" My elderly Mom and Aunt had never traveled out of the country before we headed to Ireland for my nephew's wedding. As a surprise, I booked us into the Ashford Castle for our first three nights. We had a wonderful stay, beautiful rooms, grounds and excellent service and food. I was also able to cross of something on my bucket list be spending an afternoon at their Falconer School - highly recommended! Staying here was a once in a life time experience and totally worth it. My family is still talking about it - so it is more than a place to stay, it is a place to create memories. If you are not sure about driving in Ireland, I believe they can refer you to a driver service. We used one for our whole trip and was very pleased. Please note that we traveled in August 2013, but the reason I am posting this is because if you are traveling with elderly people, (they were both in their mid-eighties!) this was just a fantastic place to stay.

"Wedding Enquiry" From the very moment we were greeted at the Gateway to Ashford Castle we were so cordially welcomed by a fabulously attired gentleman who presented us with a map of the Castle grounds; directions to the Tea Room; gardens and Lodge. The day was splendid and Ashford Castle was certainly blooming in the mid-afternoon summer sunshine. The long slow winding drive to the Castle through the beautifully appointed golf course set the scene for the wonderful sight of Ashford nestled down in its own valley guarded by a its moate. The Gardens were in full bloom the sent of the flowers and attention to detail of the decor of the quaint tea room and cottages was simply outstanding. Joe the doorman at the lodge greeted us like long lost friends and guided us to the reception area where we made our enquiries. After a nice cup of Tea in the drawing room we met by the lovely Katie who deputised for the banqueting manager and gave us a wonderful tour of the Castle. From Billiard Room to Private Cinema and Executive Bedroom we were not left to wonder why its the Worlds Number One. The hallways are adored with images from Presidents to Princes to Sporting greats to living legends. We were told the history of Ashford and the underground wine cellar with its own private tunnel access from its days as a Kings Palace. We dearly would have loved to have stayed a little longer but did manage a quick few photos and an trip around its gardens. From clay shooting to archery to river rides Ashford has it all. WE will be back only on this occasion did we have prior engagements to visit Cong with some friends. The village of the Quiet Man was an awesome experience also. The weather being so fine certainly made day. A big thank you to Dawn also who ensured We received an email this morning on wedding banquets at Ashford Castle. Oh but to dream.
