We recently held our 3 day Wedding event at Fota and what a fantastic event it was. Our guests, the majority who had travelled great distances loved the resort and facilities. The staff were excellent and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you for making our Wedding a great experience.

"It’s all about the little touches..."
My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary here last weekend. My husband found the listing online. We wanted something special for our first wedding anniversary and what we got was far beyond special.. we found it relatively easy to find ( with google maps ) The hotel was welcoming and warm but definitely had that old world feel that you expect from a castle.. reception was friendly and very efficient and a lovely lad helped us to our room. We paid a little extra for a superior room (well worth it) our room was fantastic, four poster bed, Victorian bath, beautiful decor, open gas fire but the best this about the room was the small waterfall directly outside the window, an lying on the bed listen to that was amazing. At 6.39 there was champagne, snacks and a brief talk about the history of the building and the area but a charming friendly and lovely man.. that was a lovely touch.. we had dinner included and boy it was amazing. My husband has the lamb and said it was One of the best lamb dishes he’s had.. I had the chick hot pot and it was delicious.. the little touch’s in the restaurant during dinner and the friendly staff all make the experience at dinner superb.. there was a lovely man playing music in the bar after dinner.. all in all the place was fantastic we couldn’t recommend this place enough.. if you do go, turn left out of the hotel and drive the scenic sky road... it’s postcard perfect Ireland.. so worth it trust me!

"Another wonderful visit"
We love the Abbeyglen. The building is impressive, the rooms are really comfortable, the food is superb and the real highlight is the staff. The maitre de is one of the owners and makes everyone very welcome, with added celebrations for special occasions. We were there for our wedding anniversary and now have another photograph, taken by Brian, to add to our collection from our previous 6 anniversaries spent there. We shall return.

"Wedding Anniversary"
My wife and I toured the west coast of Ireland for our honeymoon thirty years ago and she wanted to return to the same hotels and tourist attractions thirty years on.
It was lovely to return to Abbeyglen Castle, no much has changed, it still has that wonderful ambience and old world charm. The management go out of their way to welcome and speak to every guest. The rooms have period furnishings as one would expect and dinner and breakfast were of a good quality.
Special mention to Brian who gave us a special mention at evening dinner and delivered a complimentary dessert....
