Unique riverside cottage in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Waterfall Cottage is a luxury vacation rental property set in the heart of the spectacular Delphi Valley in Southwest Mayo, Ireland.
For visitors to the West of Ireland, this is one of the most striking settings of the Wild Atlantic Way.
Formerly part of the Delphi estate, this deceptively large rental property is an extension of two 19th-century cottages, merged into one home of great character, with no other buildings in sight.
Surrounded by one of Ireland's conservation areas in a national heritage site, this four-bedroom holiday home overlooks a pristine river with a stunning wilderness backdrop.
Weekly Rental Rates June, July, August & September - €2,520Christmas & New Year - POA
The rental weeks normally run from Saturday to Saturday.Rest of Year is a minimum four night stay -4 nights @ €1,120
"Perfect!" Excellent spot for a peaceful break. We had an amazing time! The place seems almost timeless, set against the dramatic Connemam landscape. There was 5 of us in total - two adults and three kids....The house is very well equipped.

"A wonderful spacious cottage in a beautiful setting"
We could't have been more pleased with Waterfall Cottage. From the moment we got there, we were captivated by the scenery and fell in love with the place and the small towns around it. The cottage was very well equipped with nearly everything you could need or want (The one and only exception being ice trays - we crazy Americans love our ice! We easily remedied the situation and left them there for the next guests. With the water source being the river behind us, the ice was the best I've ever tasted!)
We were there over the July 4th week and the weather got cold enough that night to justify a fire in the fireplace which made the cottage even more cozy!
We went "next door" (1/2 mile walk) to the Delphi Lodge where we bought some of the most delicious smoked salmon ever. We also enjoyed dinner there our last night in Ireland. What a super special place - not to be missed!
The charming town of Leenane has a few pubs to sample, one with Trad music every Sunday night!
We would highly recommend the Killary Fjord boat tour as well as the Killary Sheep Farm. The brothers, Tom and PJ, who run the sheep farm are so fun and we had a great time feeding the lambs, sheering the sheep and watching Tom and his dog Roy put on an amazing demonstration! Well worth a visit!
We've been renting through VRBO for many years now and this was one of the nicest places we've had the good fortune to stay. We loved every minute of it!
Thank you so much Peter and Jane!

Amazing!
After seeing the pics I booked 5 nights in June about 7-8 months in advance . When I shared with my family where the house was it was initially met with mixed reviews . "It's in the middle of nowhere " "what is there to do with our 20 year old daughter " etc . We had the most amazing adventures everyday ! Always returning to such a lovely warm spirited home ! You can feel the good times that have been had there . In the end of the day we ALL agreed the house and location was amazing ! Our fears of not having enough to do turned into thoughts of all we were unable to do in our five night stay . Lots of day trips in every direction . However our nicest walk was the day we literally just took a left walking out of the house and explored . Fantastic home , amazing location , very easy owners to work with . Great experience! One tip if desired is to go to dinner at the fishing lodge . It's a one seating communal dinner preceded by cocktail hour . It's bit fancy but we all really enjoyed the experience. Great house !
