On the island of Zakynthos, you're never short of spectacular sights to see. And from this home, it’s easy to do it all. Hop on a glass-bottomed boat from the shores of Agios Nikolaos, fourteen minutes away. Stroll nine minutes to the shores of Madrakia Beach to catch some rays on the sands. Or simply relax in this luxury villa, intertwined with the natural environment.
The architecture manages to delicately balance a striking example of construction, with limited impact on its surroundings. Exterior spaces flow around the coastal, hilltop setting, where natural stone walls frame a vast terrace and chunky timber beams create a pagoda. The private pool sits in an alcove between the interior and the exterior, while beanbags and dining sets line the foreground.
We love the way the glass sliding doors merge the indoors and outdoor areas, with minimalist and modern furniture allowing the sea view to be the main attraction. Stony grey concrete and rich wooden cabinets continue the natural feel throughout the living spaces – and if you really want to take an natural approach to life, why not freshen up in the outdoor shower.
