With the Ionian Sea glistening on the horizon and a dazzling infinity pool beckoning on balmy afternoons, it's hard to imagine a more idyllic place than this stone villa. Day or night, the terrace calls for alfresco meals, chilled cocktails and laughter-packed conversation. Kick up your feet on the poolside lounge chairs and sunbathe in the rays, pick fresh vegetables in the garden, relax with a massage and come twilight, watch as the sky fades to pink and purple as you share a bottle of wine from the estate’s wine cellar.

Apart from the terrace, we love the interiors here, too. Glass windows and walls show off the views and bathe each room with natural light, so you'll always feel like part of the scenery. The design is chic and contemporary, and nowhere shows that better than the en-suite bathrooms – picture freestanding bathtubs ideal for post-exploration soaks, fluffy bathrobes and sleek showers. If you like to cook, the kitchen has everything you need to rustle up dinner or whip up something tasty on the barbecue in the outdoor kitchen.

Location-wise, Exo Chora is a small, sleepy village home to one of the country's oldest olive trees. The famous Navagio Beach (also called Shipwreck Beach) is just a twenty-minute drive away, while Zante Town is thirty-six minutes by car – perfect for a day trip.
