Resting in the Shropshire countryside, not far from the England/Wales border is the village of Knockin, lying nearly halfway between Shrewsbury and Oswestry. Home to a church, a pub and a village store, The Knockin Shop, it's a great base for a self-catered stay. Enjoy the surrounding countryside with walking and cycling, with many routes to choose from, including the famous Offa's Dyke Path. Visit the castles of Chirk, Powis and Whittington, all within easy reach.
