You’re in the heart of the village here too, with a private path leading to shops, cafés and the local fish and chip shop.

There’s room for dining on the patio, which is a lovely spot surrounded by greenery and there’s a barbecue for summer feasts. Inside, there’s a cottage vibe to the living room with its wood-burning stove keeping things warm in the evening. The modern kitchen has plenty of space for the bustle of family mealtimes and the dining table sits in a sunny, conservatory-style spot overlooking the garden. Should you need to work remotely, there’s a study with a laptop desk and plenty of board games and books to entertain the group.

*There is parking for three cars at the front of the home and safe bike storage in the lockable shed.
*Sometimes the tide can cover the road to Mersea Island, so be sure to check tide times before making your journey to this home.
*Bath towels are provided but you'll need to bring your own beach towels.
*Pets are welcome but they must be kept off the furniture.
*All the bedrooms are upstairs so this place may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
*The shower gets quite slippery when wet.
