Sometimes you want to get away from it all, and sometimes it’s nice to be in town. This classic beauty of a Mallorcan villa offers both, sitting on a quiet street, 150 metres from the centre of Llubí. In the heart of town, you’ll find tree-lined streets leading to squares crowned with ancient churches. Pavement cafés spill into the street and bakeries and cafés provide traditional breakfast options. It’s in the heart of the Mallorcan hills, so cyclists will be particularly pleased with the location (there are bike racks in the garage too).

Heading back to the villa, you can unwind with a float about in the swimming pool, or perhaps indulge in a long, lazy dinner in the shade at the outdoor dining table. From here, you can admire the honey-brown stonework adorned with dazzling modern art by the Moorish wooden doors. Take your pre-dinner drink on the plush terrace sofas and enjoy the last of the evening sun.

Inside, the villa is sleek and sophisticated with touches of old-world charm. Marble columns and the grand marble staircase caught our eye the second we walked in, and hand-carved wooden bedframes feel like they have Moorish roots. There are two living rooms to choose from – one with a plush, tufted sofa and the other with a delightfully retro suite. Our favourite spot might have to be the second terrace, shaded by a sail-like parasol and lined with balustrades.

*Some guests said this home wasn't equipped with basic kitchen staples, such as salt, oil, vinegar, or sugar. We'd suggest bringing a few bits and bobs with you.
*Guests are responsible for taking the rubbish to the nearest rubbish dump. It's a twenty-minute drive away, or around twenty minutes on foot.
*We'd recommend bringing a car if you're planning to explore the local area.
*Your host has a gardener at this home every Wednesday.
*Toiletries aren't provided, so you'll need to bring your own.
*You won't find a welcome hamper or basic essentials here, so we'd recommend packing some bits and bobs to get you started.
