The Owls at Oxley Dairy, Shingle Street

The Owls at Oxley consists of two barn conversions namely Little Owl and Barn Owl and a Drover's Hut called The Owl Box. They are modern, contemporary and in a fascinating location on the Suffolk coast namely Shingle Street. This historic location is enjoyed by many people including windsurfers, walkers and bird watchers and if all booked together sleep 12. Fantastic facilities include a plunge pool and games barn.

Little Owl (sleeps 4)

• Size:  Sleeps up to 4, 2 bedrooms

• Pets:  1 well-behaved pet allowed

• Rooms:  2 bedrooms (1 with en-suite), family bathroom, hall, open plan living/dining/kitchen area

• Beds:  1 king-size double bed, 2 single beds

• General:  Woodburner (logs provided), underfloor heating, HD TV

• Utilities:  Electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer. (2 washing machines, tumble dryer in laundry room)

• Standard: Kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, clothes airer
  

The Owl Box (sleeps 2)

• Nestled on the edge of Little Owl's garden in amongst the trees, stands The Owl Box with a gently ramped access. This single level hut built on a sturdy trailer base provides modern over-spill accommodation for studying teens or adults. Comprising of a living/sleeping area and shower room, The Owl Box has a separate access yet glimpses of it can still be seen from over the hedging from the decking outside Little Owl. 

Barn Owl (sleeps 6)

• Size:  Sleeps up to 6, 3 bedrooms

• Nearest amenities:  Less than 4 miles

• Pets:  1 well-behaved pet allowed

• Rooms:  3 bedrooms (1 with en-suite and 1 ground floor), family bathroom, hall,  open plan living/dining/kitchen area

• Beds:  1 king-size double, 3 single beds, 1 pull-out single bed

• General:  Woodburner (logs provided), underfloor heating, HD TV

• Utilities:  Electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer. (2 washing machines, tumble dryer in laundry room)

• Standard: Kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, clothes airer

Nearest beach: Ten minute walk.
Nearest amenities:  Less than 4 miles
Parking:  Off-road parking for 4 cars and additional parking for dinghies, horseboxes etc on request
Please note:  There are a few barn cats at Oxley so please do not allow in properties or let children stroke them. Smoking is not allowed. Please note that this property is suitable for family holidays and celebrations rather than group parties or hens and stags.  If you would like to discuss your particular requirements though then the owners will be happy to speak with you - just let us know.
WiFi: Available but patchy reception so do not rely on for work, games or downloading
Outside:  BBQ (initial fuel provided) , plunge pool available May - October, small lawned area, further seating areas with furniture, open shingle area, bike storage. Hot Tub hire is available and guests can directly hire a hot tub via one of these two companies, Norfolk Suffolk Hot Tubs or Suffolk Hot Tubs. A charge of £5 per day currently for heating the tub is payable to the owners during their stay. The owners should be notified of any hire so they can facilitate access and setup.

Electric car charging is possible with an extra charge paid at the time of the stay, direct to the owner, according to use.

Luxuries: Covered games barn including communal dining area for 10, covered circular plunge pool (May - September). Lockable storage boxes
Other:  Bed linen and towels provided (not beach or dog towels), highchair, travel cot (no bedding)
