Art Deco aficionados will adore this home on the Athenian riviera. Designed by a French architect in the 1930s, the special house has been modernised over the years but is still rich in original features. From the grand oak staircase to the terrazzo tiles in the hallway, it's a visual feast for nostalgic travellers.

And there's more to see in the gardens – that's right, there are two gardens. On the east side, you'll find a sun lounger-fringed swimming pool as well as a peaceful veranda. The west garden is home to a flourishing orange tree, which provides shade for the six-person dining table. Grill up a storm on the barbecue and spend all evening outdoors.

History buffs can't leave this area without visiting the Temple of Apollo at Corinth, fifteen minutes away by car. The limestone structure is perched on a rocky hill with views over the ancient city. But even closer to home, there are plenty of beaches, shops and tavernas to meet all of your holiday needs – you'll likely hear the Loutraki Waterfalls whispering as you stroll around the village.
