Looking for the chance to really switch off from the real world, connect with your partner while enjoying long bucolic walks and hearty pub lunches? Then this comfortable home at the edge of the Cotswolds has everything you need. With high ceilings and large windows letting in an abundance of light and those gorgeous Oxfordshire countryside views, this minimally designed home is welcoming stay. There's a comfortable bedroom (we loved the 500-thread-count linen and defy anyone staying here to get less than eight hours' sleep!), a great modern bathroom (with a luxurious large bathtub) and a lovely open-plan living/dining area. But it's the thoughtful touches from amiable host Kylie that really elevate this home. Teapig and Pukka teas should impress any tea-lover, and the Lavazza coffee with French press get make any caffeine addict raring to go. The welcome hamper - included with your stay - is exceptional, with cereals, fruit, fresh eggs from a local farmer, milk, plus local butter and bacon.
Home truths: * While the home can only accommodate two adults, Kylie can provide an air mattress for two children up to the age of 12 years
* The apartment is attached to a main house but it has its own private entrance, with access via an external staircase
* You can make use of the outdoor space here, but note that it's shared with the main house and not completely private
