This apartment in the quiet neighbourhood of Estrela is ideal for a family or group of friends. You’ll find trendy restaurants in nearby Santos and the Park of Necessidades is a nice place to unwind with a picnic. Catch the bus to the bustling Praça do Comércio or head into Baixa for shops and the medieval Carmo Convent. The home itself is comfortable and is equipped with all the trappings for a fuss-free stay. There’s not much natural light, though, especially in the bedrooms, and space in the living area is tight for a group of six.

*You’ll need to pick up the keys from the host’s office before heading to the apartment.
*This home sleeps up to seven, but one guest would be on the sofa bed in the living room which would compromise any social communal space – we think this home is best suited to six guests.
*There are some stairs to climb to reach the entrance of the apartment, so this home may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or with heavy luggage.
