Talk of the Hamlet: North Yorkshire

Forming part of a Grade-II listed farmhouse built two hundred years ago, this is a home completely in keeping with the rural charm of the surrounding hamlet of Little Habton.

Just going by the exterior, you might be able to guess the home's age, but the interior looks more like the twenty-first century rather than the nineteenth. The wooden floors and white walls feel particularly modern, as does the sleek kitchen complete with granite worktops and the log burner in the living room.

For sunny days, there's a lovely garden with a view of the North Yorkshire Moors and plenty of seating to take in this panorama. The River Rye runs along the back of the address and the nearest pub can be reached in twenty-five minutes on foot. A little further afield, the Howardian Hills AONB can be reached in seven minutes in the car.

Home truths:
*There's a spacious parking area
*The garden is private and enclosed
*The home is split across two floors so might not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility
*It's unsuitable for children under the age of five
*Pets aren't allowed due to the hosts' animals that live on site
