Area
The popular seaside town of Torquay in South Devon has been attracting visitors for 200 years with its lovely sandy beaches, palm trees and plentiful attractions. There is a great selection of bars and restaurants, as well as scenic coastal walks, plus a number of tourist attractions including the Torquay Museum, Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves and the Torquay Golf Course. Take a wonderful walk along the clifftops to enjoy far-reaching seascapes, or stroll beside the harbour and watch the little boats drift in and out of the bay. Catch a boat to Brixham or Paignton, try sea angling or a range of water-based activities, or head to the world-famous Paignton Zoo to come face-to-face with the friendly elephants and meerkats.
