The cottage was lovely, very spacious with a cosy feel. The layout was ideal and the upstairs living room was perfect with views over the countryside. It was very quiet despite being so close to the owners’ property. The property was ideally situated near to attractions and beaches with supermarkets and pubs close by. It was a nice welcome to find home made scones, clotted cream, wine and flowers awaiting us on arrival.

Fantastic cottage with all that you will need. It was lovely to find that they had provided milk, bread, eggs etc when we arrived. There were lots for the kids to do in the games room but the weather was fantastic so they didn’t use it that often. Would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family.

Access to the north of Devon was very convenient from this location. The cottage itself was very clean and tidy and facilities (inc. AGA and grass area for ball games and indoor games room) well provided for. Don’t expect a nice quiet sleep in on Sunday morning due to the church bells next door, but, hey, what do I expect in the English countryside! Parking area was more than sufficient. The only thing though (and a minor issue) was the close location of the owners residence and work area (farm).

The property was superbly equipped, spotlessly clean with every amenity. This was our second visit and we would definitely be going again. The owners were friendly, there if we needed but not intrusive. The games room was large and well equipped and good fun was had by children and adults alike. A lovely welcome of home made scones and bread, a nice touch.

The house was in immaculate condition and was warm and cosy, the Aga was a very special treat too. The layout of the house was wonderful for enjoying a week away with friends and family. All the little details were taken care of. For all that there were houses around we still felt like we were in a remote area.

A lovely property, beautifully presented with exceptional welcoming touches (scones, fresh bread, tea, wine etc) and in a most peaceful location, with a panoramic view over the Devon countryside. It's hard to imagine how it could be bettered.
