St Columbs Presbytery: Kilkenny

St Columbs Presbytery, Inistioge, County Kilkenny

Located 2km outside the village of Inistioge in County Kilkenny, this unique holiday home was used to store horse-drawn carriages in the 18th century.

Inistioge is a charming village with a tree-lined square, lying in a pretty part of the Nore Valley. This authentic cottage leaves a lasting impression and inspires many guests to return year after year.

Lovingly restored while retaining its original character, the cottage commands spectacular views of the River Nore and the undulating countryside.

The property consists of 2 bedrooms with two double beds and one single bed and sleep up to 5 people. The kitchen, living room and dining room is an open plan design.

Guests can really make themselves at home in the living ares, while relaxing in front of an open fire and catching up on TV shows.

This self-catering property is well maintained by the owners, whose dwellings are on the grounds.

"Beautiful home, gorgeous property, engaging hosts" We loved the cozy, beautiful, comfortable home and garden landscape - we rented for 2 nights- 2 couples in this beautiful Innistoge area; had fun talking to the hosts who are right nearby and enjoyed several outings around this gorgeous area of Ireland.

"Very unique property" The owners are wonderful, very welcoming. We enjoyed the cottage, the location is very convenient for Kilkenny, Jerpoint Abbey, etc. We did have some issues with the hot water during our stay but since it was only 2 nights not a great hardship. I hope Margaret gets her ducks back!

"Very relaxing, beautiful home" We had a very relaxing and quiet 3 nights at the Coach House in Inistioge. We were at the end of 3 weeks in Ireland, and it was exactly what we needed before heading back to Dublin. Our hosts, Margaret and Mark, were fantastic, very welcoming, and provided great information on the area resources. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again! A couple of things to be aware of, make sure you have supplies for your stay before you get there, as there is only one small store in Inistioge for the basics. And, if you want to dine out, you will need to travel a short distance to Thomastown or New Ross for restaurants, as the two pubs in Inistioge only have food available on weekends. Great stay and great people!

"Rural Idyll" We had a very enjoyable 4 weeks stay. The accommodation is delightful and the location is great for day trips far and near. The village of Inistioge itself is close to Woodstock Gardens and the setting is idyllic. We would recommend this as the perfect place to stay and enjoy Irish rural life. The hosts, Maggie and Mark are truly hospitable and helpful with many tips on places to see etc,
