After a shocking journey to the lodge (broke down and had to wait 3.5 hours for RAC in Bradford with a 6 month old on board). We finally reached the lodge. After being in the rain in a cold car for hours, the heated lodge was a welcome sight. The rooms are beautifully decorated, extremely clean with comfortable beds and sofa. Kitchen was well equipped along with a utility room. Lots of information on the local area provided and also the lodge facilities. Our only issue was how to work the bedroom TV. I knew from reading previous reviews this was linked with the living room, but we couldn't figure it out until the second night. Instructions would have been helpful. Also the code to leave the lodge park was different , which we weren't informed of. All in all though, really lovely place. Would certainly recommend.

Excellent lodge on a small site on the edge of Gargrave. The lodge is clean, well laid out and fairly well equipped. Only a 10 minute walk into Gargrave but away from the main road. Excellent pub in 10 minutes walk (The Masons Arms) highly recommended for food but prob need to book, CO-OP store and decent Fish and Chip shop. The accommodation is good with some minor issues....The TVs in the bedrooms are surplus to requirements as they only work off the main TV in the lounge so that has to be on and you can only only watch what is on that. The living space has plenty of blinds yet the 2 bedrooms have no blinds or net curtains which can be a privacy issue. Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, decent kitchen equipment and utility room. Nice decking with furniture.

A lovely week in the most amazing accomodation, Only 2 queries: 1. despite 3 televisions in 3 three different areas you could only watch what was on the main television in the lounge area ? 2. We found the central heating settings very bizarre. Did not come on during the day which at times was quite chilly but would switch on at 5am when not needed.
However extremely small details for what can only be described as an amazing week in the most amazing high standard accomodation we have stayed in. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone. Thank you.

Just returned from a lovely weekend away at this beautiful lodge. It was absolutely perfect for us. Everything was finished to such a high standard and also felt homely and cosey. It was a brilliant location as Well with pubs, restaurants and convenience stores just down the road from us. We would deffinitly recommend squirrel lodge and will hopefully return ourselves sometime soon. The only thing it could have done with I's wifii but apart from that it was perfect. Thank you for the lovely weekend.
