"A gem of a resort"
My family stayed there in August in one of their lovely Fall View Suites. Spacious bedroom and living room. The living room had two Murphy beds which was perfect for our daughters. It was the lap of luxury all in a lodge that felt intimate, which fits perfectly in what we thought of Ireland.
Very gracious staff from making email reservations to arrival, stay and departure. We were there with a group of 20 of our friends. Most stayed in the main building but one family rented and loved their cottage. The staff made offsite dinner, golf and other reservations for us. There was also the option of picnic lunches for those on the go. Loads of on site activities. Breakfast, very nicely done, was included.
Two things stand out. My wife took ill and the staff was both concerned and attentive not only of her situation but the rest of the family's needs. She recovered in time to take the flight home. The second is perhaps not worth mentioning. I left a golf club on one of the courses and the staff followed up with each course to help locate it.
First class, fully deserving of its 5 stars.
