“A little piece of heaven”
I have stayed with my family in Shamrock Cottage 3 times this year. Although I cannot take the credit for finding it, I am glad my eldest Son did. I have fallen in love and have booked for next year. I could stay in the Cottage for days on end and not go anywhere if all I want is surrounding beauty and relaxation. However, if you want to visit other places nearby there is an abundance and Anita is excellent at providing information. We visited Belleck Pottery, had a tour on the Kestrel on Lough Erne visiting Devenish Island, visited Enniskillen Castle, Rossnowlagh Beach, Murvagh Beach, Donegal Town and Marble Arch Caves to name but a few. There are many more places to visit and see.
We ate in The Smuggler's Creek overlooking Rossnowlagh, ate in The Black Cat Cove and had breakfast in The Thatched Cottage in Belleck. Shamrock Cottage is a great location for visiting many places within reach but it's own location is second to none when you want to escape a usually busy lifestyle. The Cottage is very well equipped and Anita has thought of everything. You might be lucky and get a taste of her banana bread which my husband Ciaran cannot get enough of, thus my reason for getting the recipe. My husband and sons loved the fishing and my little daughter who is 6 years old did not want to leave. I cannot recommend this Cottage enough but don't want to bore you, so book and make your own memories.
