We stayed here for my mum and dads 25th wedding anniversary and what a place. There where 13 guests in total having a 3 night stay and it was perfect from when we landed to we left! Sea View Croagh Patrick was the perfect size and extremely clean. We spent some time in Westport itself followed by spending some time walking up the mountain and by Clew Bay! There were great services around the house including a beautiful restaurant known as The Tavern- recommended by Linda the property owner! Couldn’t have asked for better. We hope to return in the future!

We have just returned from a wonderful family holiday spent at “Croagh Patrick Lodge” in Murrisk, Co. Mayo. The “family” consisted of 6 adults, 2 teenage boys and 3 small boys and we spent a week in this most beautiful part of Ireland. From the warm welcome we received from the owner Linda, to our sad departing, nothing was wanting in this Lodge. The house is tastefully decorated with a mix of the old and the new; allowing for a very relaxed atmosphere throughout. There is a large lounge area with a stove fire, burning logs, and a sun room which provides space to relax and just gaze out at the views or read a book, play board games or for the boys to play without disturbing anyone who just wanted to watch telly. The kitchen area provided ample space to comfortably prepare meals for 11 people. Everything needed to prepare and cook meals was provided, including dishwasher to do that “hated” job! Upstairs we had 5 bedrooms, all with very comfortable beds, offering a good night’s sleep - 3 with en-suite. But the “winning room” was the family suite with 2 bedrooms where the 3 boys could sleep with Mam and Dad close at hand, their own bathroom and the telly which kept them in bed a little longer in the mornings!! At the front there is a large drive-way offering ample parking space while at the rear there is a large patio area and lawn. The house is spectacularly situated at the foot of Croagh Patrick. From any window at the back of the house one can watch the endless stream of pilgrims climbing the mountain and from the front enjoy wonderful views of Clew Bay with its many islands, across to the Nephin Mountains. Situated on the “Wild Atlantic Way” the house is ideally situated to drive south on the “Way” towards Connemara and Clifden and on to Galway or north to the top of the County taking in the wonderful views this area has to offer. For families or groups of friends looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy lives, this Lodge is the ideal “get-away”. We highly recommend this property and will have no hesitation in returning.

We absolutely adored our stay in your beautiful home, there were 10 adults and 3 babies for a family gathering and the house accommodated us all with ease. The house has the most wonderful atmosphere and the room sizes are large and bright and beautifully decorated, it really was like being in our very own holiday home. We made great use of the kitchen/garden room which is very large and full of every cooking utensil and delph you could imagine. The quality of all the bed-linen and towels are of hotel standard , a lovely touch and much appreciated. The house is situated at the foot of Croagh Patrick which we scaled to great delight one sunny morning and the views over Clew bay are truly breathtaking. Linda was on hand for any advice we needed and couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. Anybody looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful house in the most idyllic setting should come and visit.

We stayed at this scenic lodge at the foot of Croagh Patrick for a week, family group of 14. It is a large well furnished spacious house with all the amenities needed for large groups, there was nothing we needed to ask for and had the most fabulous time there. We even hosted all our local family members to a get-together one evening. Linda the owner was great and very welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending The Lodge to visitors coming to Westport.

We spent a week here in early July 2017. The lodge is a lovely, spacious and very well equipped house at the base of Croagh Patrick. The area and scenery is spectacular and the house was a great base to wander out from. The owner was very relaxed and helpful and we had a lovely holiday

"We stayed in Sea View Croagh Patrick for a week in July 2017 for a holiday with extended families from around the world and we all said afterwards that, having done similar breaks throughout Ireland before over several years, this was the most comfortable and best house we ever rented. The grounds were lovely for adults and children, the views (back and front - but particularly at the back of the Reek) are stunning, and the living space (kitchen, dining area and living room with fireplace) was perfect for just hanging out while cooking, eating and drinking. We all had a wonderful week; we even held a party for a 50th birthday with 22+ people which the house was perfect for. If you are looking for a great base for a couple of families (we were 8 adults and 7 kids) in the Westport area, I would not go anywhere else".
