Salmon’s Leap has a slightly different feel to many of our other places in Venice. Rather than the opulent, but fading, aesthetic, it’s modern, and incredibly well kept. This is partly down to the way the whole building is set up, and the reception certainly changes the vibe a bit. There are definite benefits, however, both in the flat (like the modern bathrooms, or the private gym), and in the building (like the private vaporetto stop, which is very fun to use).
Home truths: *With the large, shared reception area, this has more of the feeling of a hotel than a completely independent flat
*There's no oven, or laundry facilities
*The TV's not massive
*An extra person can sleep on a sofa bed
