Situated above Caragh Lake, near Glenbeigh on the Ring of Kerry, this luxury rental enjoys spectacular views of the lake extending across Dingle bay to the Slieve Mish Mountains.

An ideal romantic getaway and a perfect location for anyone one enjoys hill-walking and outdoor activities. There is an activity centre close to the cottage and the start of the Reeks walk and Ireland's highest mountain, Carauntoohill is 8km away.

Salmon and trout fishing are available on Caragh Lake and many local rivers. Killorglin with its wonderful seafood restaurants and traditional pubs with music is within a ten minute drive and Carraig country house hotel and restaurant is close by. It is 10km to Dooks golf course, and 18km to Killarney golf course. Rossbeigh beach is 13km away and is a poplular venue for surfers, windsurfers and body boarding - Ireland's latest craze.

"Great Location"

Beautiful house to stay in. Do your shopping on route. The drive is not for the faint hearted, lots of steep hills so the scenery is amazing but well worth the drive. Loved the american fridge, open fire, comfy beds and sofas. Highly recommended.

"Terrific spot" Had a great stay here - plenty to see and do on the peninsula. The house is in a great location overlooking the lake. Very peaceful. We all loved it.

"Amazing Week"

We had an amazing week in Jamesey's Cottage, Kerry. After a 4 hour drive to see the house appear below us from the hilltop was breathtaking. I only wish I had a video of that moment to record the gasps from my fellow travellers. Directions spot on. Cottage was spotless. Books, Games and outside facilities were excellent and used every night. 15 min Drive through amazing scenery to Rossbeigh Beach and then onto the Ring of Kerry. Would recommend this property to both young and old and would easily cater for 10 - 12 guests. Killorglin has fabulous restaurants but we ate / BBQ'd at house 5 of the 7 nights. Weather was amazing but even when it changed and rained the house is big enough to cater for in-door activities.

Cottage and surrounding scenery are just breathtaking, very peaceful and locals were very welcoming. Stunning trip away.

"We had a splendid stay"

Our overall impression of this property is excellent! The written instructions we very detailed, they included the check-in process (which was seamless).

Even though we were only two people (we like space) this is a perfect size house for a big family or two small families travelling together. There are 2 kids rooms just past the kitchen (behind a door that helps block the noise from late-staying adults) and the upstairs loft as well (which itself has another bedroom for the "older" kids to be able to be able to stay out from underfoot while still in the house)

The sound system is excellent and include a Bluetooth connection so you can stream from your phone.
