Hadrian's Wall passes nearby, while the historic village Otterburn is a short drive away, popular with walkers and cyclists. The Kielder Forest offers fishing, boating, horse riding and nature watching. The market town of Hexham is 20 miles away, plus the city of Newcastle is 35 miles away.
