It’s a ten-minute walk from the centre of Megève and its position on a hillside, near Chemin du Calvaire, means in season you have ski-in, ski-out access. A stay here is like having your own luxury hotel and clubhouse all in one. It’s ideal for corporate getaways, with a seminar room and team-building activities galore – archery in the garden, a boules court and even a full climbing wall.

The motto here could be “work hard, play hard” or simply “play hard” as the living room (a vision of chalet-chic and hygge during the day) can be transformed into a dance floor with a projector and fully-stocked wet bar. In this huge, open space you’ve also got a pool table and arcade games. Then there’s the separate cinema room and poker table.

Like any 5-star hotel, you’ve got a spa and swimming pool all to yourself. The indoor pool with its wave machine and hot waterfall is perfect for winter as snow tumbles outside and days on the slopes can be remedied with sessions in the Turkish hammam, sauna and massage room. In summer, the outdoor pool surrounded by pines is perfect for a cooling dip and there’s banquet-sized dining for the group beneath double gazebos. Each outdoor terrace and balcony feels secluded by towering trees and the alpine garden with its rockeries is a delight to explore.

Finally, there are the bedrooms. Each one is like a fairytale come to life with wood-carved beds and pine-clad walls. Even the ensuites feel as though they’ve been carved out of Alpine wood by hand.
