Quinta do Ribeiro Joaninho is a luxury vacation home, that sleeps 8 persons. We're located in Pedrógão Grande (1:40 min from Lisbon and Porto, 40 min from Coimbra), a lovely village with local shops, restaurants and markets.

The space

The lovely Quinta do Ribeiro Joaninho is located right in the center of Portugal with its incredible nature. Peace and quiet are the keywords for this stunning estate. If only because of the 35.000 sqm of lush, private garden, which surrounds this beautiful manor. The historic town of Pedrógão Grande is only few minutes away by car. There you will find the relaxed and authentic atmosphere of Portugal with local shops and several restaurants where you can enjoy regional cuisine. The Quinta has a large and absolutely private swimming pool as well as a nice playroom. The owners really made an effort to maintain the authentic atmosphere and style by keeping the original bread oven, the huge fireplace and original ceiling beams. The Quinta do Ribeiro is built against the hills. That provides the property with all kinds of unexpected levels and stunning mountain views. This beautiful manor is a highly recommended.

*** Please note that our village Pedrógão Grande was caught in a big wildfire in June 2017. Due to that fire parts of the valley in which our Quinta is located were burned. The house itself and the pool aren't affected at all.
The parts of the garden that were affected, we've replaced with new plants. Nature is picking up fast, and things are already getting green, and we do expect that views are all green from spring 2018. ***

Guest access

The spacious Quinta consists of 4 rooms-en-suite, with complete bathrooms. Grande living room with fire place. Complete kitchen with all equipment. Several terraces with plenty of sun and shade! Huge private salt-water pool. Adega Velha - our Old Wine Maker, game room with pool table. Beautiful and well kept gardens. Olive and fruit trees. All located in a secluded, private valley of 35,000 m2.

Interaction with guests

During your stay, we are always available to help with any queries: regarding the house, the environment, restaurants, or give you interesting suggestions for day trips.

Upon arrival, our caretaker will welcome you, show you around the house and grounds, and is always available for questions and additional information.

Other things to note

The village of Pedrógão Grande is nearby: our valley (ribeiro...) is located only a couple of minutes for the village with all services like shops, banks (ATM's), churches, bars, restaurants, etc.
