There are stays in Poole and then there are stays right on Pool Quay. In the very heart of things, this new home has been built overlooking the harbour, with views from almost every window. Just outside you'll see the busy boats, cafes and restaurants of this hub of activity, with the shipyard of one of the world's biggest luxury motor yacht companies just across the water and the ferry to Brownsea Island just steps away.

Inside, there's a modern, white and cream look to this sparkling apartment, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a sociable, open layout to the living space. There's a well-kitted-out kitchen for cooking at home and a small but perfectly formed balcony – big enough to sit out on with a morning coffee (or an evening glass of wine). With the high street around the corner and the local museum across the street, locations don't get any more convenient.

*A permit for one car is provided for the nearby Quay Visitors multi-storey car park (approximately two minutes walk) – the maximum height for a vehicle is 1.90m
*You'll need to collect the key from the host's office in Poole – it's normally open 3pm to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 3pm to 4pm on Sundays in the summer months so let them know in advance if you'll be arriving outside those times
*The twin beds are zip and link so they can form a super king if requested
*You'll need to return the key after your stay
*There's a Bose radio with Bluetooth speakers you can stream your own music
