Find a peaceful spot to listen to the waves and watch the children build sandcastles nearby. Wander into Broadstairs for an obligatory scoop of gelato from Morelli’s and a peruse of Dickens House Museum. Or, why not take the five-minute drive north to Botany Bay, famous for its brilliant chalk stacks and rock pools.

When you’re ready to call it an evening, head back to your pad for sundowners on the patio and an early night in the plush beds that will leave you feeling seriously well-rested.
