Maison: Antrim

MAISON is a newly renovated ‘unique and chic’ townhouse in the village of Bushmills just 2 miles from the Giant’s Causeway offering French inspired 5 star luxury with rafted window shutters, novel lights, reclaimed wood and décor pieces sourced from our sister property - the French Rooms Cafe/Restaurant & Shop. MAISON can be rented either as a 1 or 2 bedroom property and for a minimum of 2 nights.

The open plan ground floor boasts an imposing real fire and distressed furnishings with, in the kitchen, granite work tops and built in appliances. A hand crafted staircase leads to two large en-suite bedrooms with views over the River Bush and bathrooms with spacious shower cubicles, free standing slipper baths, and ‘peek a boo’ shutters. Both suites have their own style, one’s chic bohemian while the other’s more country style, delicate and stylish and both enjoy luxury linens, towelling and toiletries exclusively from The White Company.

Situated in a quiet residential development adjacent to the Bushmills Inn Hotel MAISON has a very private south facing patio garden to the rear. Parking at the front is free and keeping up with modern technology MAISON has Smart TV’s in the living room and bedrooms, Wi-Fi and 3G availability.

Quality restaurants, cafes and shops are all within easy walking distance and during opening hours MAISON residents can take advantage of the French Rooms for breakfast, lunch and dinner and when closed (Monday & Tuesday) Continental style breakfast can be delivered to MAISON.

Bushmills is on the Causeway Coastal Route, one of the world’s great coastal drives but also it’s in the centre of the iconic film locations for the smash hit series ‘Game of Thrones’. Just 5 miles away is ‘Royal Portrush’, a classic dunes course and venue for the (British) Open Golf Championship in 2019. Within 2 miles we have the Giant’s Causeway, our UNESCO World Heritage Site; ‘Old Bushmills’, the world’s oldest licensed Distillery and Dunluce Castle, a breath-taking semi ruin perched precariously on cliffs rising up from the Atlantic.

Well that’s it, there’s lots to see and do and somewhere really nice to stay so it would be great to welcome you to MAISON soon.

Fully deserves its 5 star Rating. This is a beautiful, stylish, luxury property with an eye to practicality - everything you need is provided. French interior design perfection, even the wine glasses have fleur de lis on them! Quality shines throughout, with granite worktops on the kitchen, luxury robes and bedding, and beautiful bathrooms. The patio garden is a haven of tranquility. The owner, Roy, gave great info both pre arrival and at handover. Can’t recommend highly enough!

"Excellent Accommodation"
This property could be straight out of a designer magazine. It has everything you could possibly need and is immaculate. We were given a guided tour by Roy who explained all the things we needed to know and provided lots on info on surrounding area. This was the best accommodation of our 9 day tour of Ireland, highly recommended.

"The devil is in the detail!"
Superbly well thought out accommodation. Everything is top quality and comfortable. The breakfasts were far more than what 'continental' suggests... Delicious and beautifully presented. The bathroom has an excellent shower and a claw foot tub and cozy heavy robes. Sigh. The bed is big and comfortable with actually wool blankets! I'm telling you, the devil is in the detail here!

Bushmills is Central to so much of the beautiful Antrim coast and Maison is the ideal place to stay. I'm writing this sitting on the sofa with a packed car ready to go because I'm a little reluctant to leave.

"Magnifique Maison"
Stayed in Maison for 2nights. Wow such an incredible place to stay. Effortless chic decor reminiscent of a fairy tale French country house. The owners have thought of every last detail from the shutters on the windows to the Shabby chic style furniture.
We were welcomed by the owner Roy who was very helpful and talked through everything we needed for our stay.
Loved the personalised chalk wall message highlighting Easter events and weather update.
The house came fully equipped with everything to make our stay enjoyable and more. Down to the extra 5star hotel style details of bath robes, Slippers, tea and coffee making facilities and mini fridge in each bedroom.
Maison really is unique and to top it off location is excellent as it is within walking distance to Bushmills village.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maison and made some lovely memories. No wonder it is one of Ireland's 50 best places to stay.

"The best spot on the north coast"
I could not recommend this place enough. The decor is beautiful and everything you touch feels like brand new. There was a lot of lovely touches from pretty glassware to white company toiletries and dressing gowns. The best of both worlds. A 5 star boutique hotel with all the comforts of home and a well stocked kitchen.

We did not have the breakfast as it felt expensive for 4. It would have been nice to include a small continental breakfast for the price paid.

That said the biscuits were yummy and we happily had our own breakfasts and ate in the local eateries.

This area is underserved by places to stay so we were delighted to find a gem. Thank you to the lovely owners who have exquisite taste and clearly have put a lot of thought into the entire enterprise.

I would describe it as well worth the hire charge.
