Luxury Beach House: Galway

Luxury country house spectacularly located on the West coat of Ireland in Clifden, Connemara, Co. Galway.

Dating back to the early 19th century, this substantial property was originally a Connemara homestead. Over the years the residence has been carefully upgraded to exacting standards, with high ceilings, wooden floors, modern bathrooms and under floor heating.

Surrounded by fourteen acres of natural landscape, each unique bedroom offers thrilling bay and countryside views. Guests can stroll through the lush gardens to a small sandy cove which is safe for swimming.

Idyllically situated where the sky road meets the Atlantic Ocean, the Connemara hills create a dramatic backdrop.

Clifden town, bustling with pubs and restaurants is just a twelve minutes drive, and there is an excellent taxi service available for night owls.

Gorgeous location, plenty of space and incredibly responsive host. Our family of four stayed at the Dolphin Lodge and used it as a base to explore the surrounding areas. The house overlooks the beach and rolling green fields. Very private and our kids loved exploring the beach and small tide pools. The house has all the requisite cooking implements and a beautiful view of the beach which makes for a perfect dinner! Clodagh was super responsive when we had some WiFi connectivity issues and also helpful with activity recommendations. Altogether a wonderful stay in a sparkling clean and beautifully-sited house!

We enjoyed our week in Fearghus’s place. The house is well appointed for comfort and social gathering. There is privacy, beautiful views from all rooms and close proximity to Connemara parks, towns, etc. Taxi service into Clifden was convenient. Our intermittent phone service and WiFi was not a problem for us. Clodagh made check-in and check- out easy, and readily answered our questions. Wonderful place for a relaxing week! Thank you!

The space was more beautiful than any other house I could have imagined. The views were fantastic. A bit of a drive from the center of town which made it quiet and romantic. The house was cozy and the kitchen was accommodating. Everything was clean and comfortable. Would love to come back!

We've stayed in many airbnbs over the years but Dolphin Beach house is one of the very best. The house itself is gorgeous, modern, nicely decorated, and has everything you'll need--but the views are absolutely stunning. The sunsets from Skye Road are the best in Ireland (5 minutes up the road) and the town of Clifden is less than 10 minutes away and has wonderful pubs and shops. Feargus and Clodagh were responsive and helpful hosts, the beds were comfortable, the house was very clean. Don't miss out on this spectacular vacation experience!
