Charming cottage set on stunning Lough Ine, renowned as one of the most romantic spots in West Cork.

Boasting magnificent sea and island views, the gate lodge at Lough Ine is a romantic 18th Century lodge situated on the edge of the Lough, at the entrance to Lough Ine House. This cosy West Cork rental offers an ideal getaway for couples or small families.

Accommodation
Downstairs features an open plan living room with a large fireplace. There is also a comfy dining area and kitchenette. A spiral staircase leads to a twin bedroom overlooking the lough, there is a further single bedroom and a bathroom with basin, W.C, bath and shower.

Breathtaking location. If you want to unwind and like walks and fresh air, this is the place to go. The accommodation is beautifully old fashioned, clean and comfortable. Views are amazing and bring you into daydreams. We were here in October and not so many tourists which was welcome. Thumbs up for couples wanting a romantic escape.

Our visit to the Gate Lodge was wonderful. It is cozy warm and sparkling clean. It was very well set up for these Covid times, with wipes and hand sanitizer provided, we felt very safe. The Lodge is delightful and the scenery is stunning. We got a warm welcome and were taken care of very well. We had a wonderful time at The Gate Lodge, thank you very much.

We LOVED staying at the Gate Lodge of Lough Hyne. When we first drove up to the home, we had to pinch ourselves. The beauty and enchantment of the home and lake were beyond our imagination. What a special place! We feel so lucky to have been able to stay there on our trip to Ireland. If you're looking for a storybook experience, then I highly recommend the Gate Lodge of Lough Hyne.
