A five-minute walk from the shores of Loch Alvie, this traditional Scottish cottage sits within the Cairngorms National Park. Walking trails and towering munros are on your doorstep and the outdoor activity haven of Aviemore is just a five-minute drive away. The exterior of this cottage is as traditional as it gets, with a white-stone facade and slate-grey roof like the crofters’ cottages of old. It gets a little more modern inside with comfy leather sofas and mod-cons in the kitchen, but the brass bedframes, free-standing bathtub and crackling wood-burning in the living room are all about that cottagecore aesthetic. Slide open the glass doors in the dining area and step out onto the secluded back patio where there’s alfresco dining for sunny days and a fire pit for chilly nights.
