Recently converted, this exclusive collection of cottages sit side-by-side with the host's main farming business, and the land has been passed down from generation to generation since 1922. Set within the Avebury World Heritage site, it's a UNESCO-protected landscape unlike any other part of the country.

If you're lucky enough to be here during fine weather, make the most of the beautifully-landscaped courtyard – with plenty of outdoor seating space for each of the stables. Or book more than one home and socialise outside with friends and family. You can even hold weddings and events here.

*The bedroom is in the eaves, on an open mezzanine floor – you'll need to climb a ladder staircase to reach it
*There are five other holiday rentals on the site, as well as two buildings suitable for events – enquire with the host if you're interested in hiring the whole space
*If you're here as a larger group, there's a pergola in the communal courtyard so you can gather
*Up to two well-mannered dogs are welcome – they need to behave around farm animals and stay downstairs
*The host holds events including yoga classes and meditation

*A cot can be provided on request – although the stairs make this home tricky for small children
