Laguna: Veneto

Laguna is in a great position for getting to some of the most famous sights (most notably the Bridge of Sighs and the Arsenale), but its real draw is the view of the water outside. It’s big and bright, too, with enough character, mainly down to the ceilings and the large stone fireplace (which is, unfortunately, out of commission). We did come across a few signs of wear and tear, but nothing more than a couple of scuffs and scratches.

*You'll have to take the steps up to the flat – there's no lift
*The kitchen works perfectly but it does feel a bit old-fashioned
*Unfortunately, the fireplace is only for display
*There's only one shower, and it's only 190cm high – fine for most, but tall people might notice
*Some areas of this home are slightly dated and showing visible signs of wear and tear
